Terms of Service
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
1. Introduction
This Legal Disclaimer (“Disclaimer”) governs your use of the Semester Finance Program website and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Semester Finance Program (“SFP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by this Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. No Professional Relationship
Your use of the Service does not create a recruiter-candidate, fiduciary or any other professional relationship between you and SFP. All information provided is for general, informal guidance only.
3. Nature and Limitations of Advice
All career-preparation, internship-recruiting and industry-related advice is offered “as-is” and without any guarantee of recommendation, introduction, employment, or other outcome. We do not warrant that our guidance is tailored to your individual circumstances, and you should independently verify any critical information before acting on it.
4. No Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SFP expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and completeness.
5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall SFP’s total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to your use of the Service exceed the amount you have paid to SFP (which is zero). Under no circumstances will SFP be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of employment opportunities or loss of data.
6. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless SFP and its officers, directors, employees, agents, advisors and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in any way connected with (a) your breach of this Disclaimer, (b) your use of the Service, or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
7. Eligibility and User Conduct
You must be at least 18 years old and physically located in the United States of America to use the Service. Each time you use the Service, you represent that you are 18 or older, that you are physically in the United States of America, and that you consent to this Disclaimer. You agree not to submit misleading or fraudulent information, infringe the rights of others, engage in abusive or harassing behavior on Slack or other channels, or misuse any data you receive.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, logos, designs and other materials provided by SFP remain our exclusive property. By submitting any text, recordings or other materials to us, you grant SFP a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such submissions to provide the Service.
9. Third-Party Integrations
The Service relies on third-party platforms, each of which has its own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for their practices; please review their policies before using the Service.
10. Changes to This Disclaimer
We may update this Disclaimer at any time. Each revision will be effective on the “Effective Date” stated above or as otherwise indicated. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Disclaimer.
